Rooted in Legacy.

Growing for the Future.

For nearly 50 years, we operated as the Ontario Turfgrass Research Foundation (OTRF), funding groundbreaking research, building trusted industry relationships, and championing sustainable turf practices across the province. This deep history forms the foundation of our work today.

"Since joining OTRF in 1979 – the foundation of what became today's National Turfgrass Research Foundation – I've been pleased to support healthy turf and science‑based research. As a proud University of Guelph alumnus and advocate, I've promoted its world‑class leadership in environmental turf benefits. I'm honored to continue this legacy as an NTRF supporter, serving on the board and giving back to the national industry that shaped my career."
